Our Commercial Insurance team at DWF are currently hiring for a Solicitor or equivalent (Charted Legal Executive).

About the role

The Commercial Insurance team in Manchester are instructed by our insurer clients to pursue subrogated property damage recovery claims, working to recover insurers’ outlay where damage has been caused to their customer’s property, be it commercial or domestic premises.

 

This role involves handling a range of insurance claims, for a number of different composite insurers across England and Wales, ranging from low to high value.  The work includes, property casualty, property damage, product liability and, subrogated recovery cases.

 

As a solicitor, you will be expected to manage your own case load of property damage recovery claims, as well as supervising 2 Paralegals.

About you

An ideal candidate for the role with have at least 2 years PQE experience and a strong interest in property damage work. 

 

As well as:

  • A commercial insurance background though we will also consider experience of similar work types.
  • Experience in running your own case load
  • A self-motivated individual who can provide guidance, supervision and support to junior team members.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, in writing and person
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Someone who is able to demonstrate a real desire to develop their career with DWF
