We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Invoicing Specialist to join our Finance Operations team in Manchester. While primarily focused on billing, this role offers exposure to various finance functions and processes, while developing the skills to take your finance career forward with a growing global company.

About the role

Each Invoicing Specialist holds a range of responsibilities including (but not limited to):

  • Collaborating with our legal teams within Commercial Services to prepare and send bills to clients.
  • Reviewing and processing high volumes of invoices efficiently and accurately within set time frames, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Generating diverse invoice types promptly, including standard bills, e-bills, composite bills, and multi-payor bills.
  • Identifying and resolving workflow bottlenecks to ensure smooth billing processes for all of our clients and partners.
  • Preparing detailed financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Continuously seeking process improvement opportunities, with a focus on leveraging technology for automation.
  • Adapting duties as priorities evolve within the team.

About you

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Ambitious, results-driven, and eager to learn.
  • Demonstrable experience working with high volume billing tasks as required.
  • Tech-savvy with proven experience using and understanding productivity-enhancing technologies.
  • Proactive in transforming tasks through simplification and automation.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving and a great eye for detail.
  • Strong invoicing and billing background with a commitment to ongoing learning.

Beneficial Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous experience in law firms or professional services.
  • Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules.
