Interested in joining a supportive, inclusive, and diverse team in an international legal business? Our Reconciliations team at DWF are currently hiring for a Cash & Bank Reconciliation Specialist to work from our office in Manchester.

 

The newly amalgamated cashiering team at DWF combines the cashiering and bank reconciliation functions and works across multiple sites including Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds to provide support to the whole firm.

About the role

As a Cash & Bank Reconciliation Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing client accounts and allocating clients’ cash in accordance with Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR).
  • Perform daily reconciliations of all bank accounts to ensure accurate records paying particular attention to the SAR compliance, focusing on investigating and resolving the unreconciled line items.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the bank account register for audit purposes, circulate and collate all partner questionnaire responses, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date.
  • Circulate daily balances and office receipts to senior management
  • Assist in the compilation, maintenance and review of all bank mandates on a regular basis ensuring all necessary signatories are added/removed promptly. Liaise with banks to ensure all information is accurate and up to date

About you

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a bank reconciliation role, however we can also consider individuals with experience working within a busy finance role 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills in order to meet targets and deadlines
  • A detail oriented approach with significant emphasis on achieving a high quality of work
  • A confident user of Microsoft Excel to intermediary level
