Liability Claims Examiner - Canada

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Liability Examiner within our Canadian Third-party administration group. Liability Examiner - Full-time (Hybrid or Remote, anywhere in Canada) DWF Claims is an independent third-party claims administrator which provides claims services for domestic insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, self-insured entities, or organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. DWF Claims works with independent adjusting firms across the country. Operating out of Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.

This role offers you the opportunity to:

• Examine claims including professional liability, commercial general liability, legal expense claims, and wrap up liability.
  Review, investigate and evaluate claim notices, incident reports, correspondence, investigative reports, and various technical documents to determine coverage, liability exposure, and resolution strategies.
• Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations
• Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts which involves providing prompt, fair, quality claims service to clients.
• Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives
• Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
• Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure client's needs are met

We are keen to attract passionate people with a solid experience of

• College diploma or combination of education and equivalent business
• CIP designation or working towards the CIP designated is mandatory. Candidates must also be able to become licensed as independent claims adjusters in various provinces.
• Minimum of 5 – 7 years of claims experience in handling of liability claims

1. Experience dealing with Lloyds a clear advantage.
   Ability to juggle tight and often conflicting priorities
   A true self-starter; happy to get your sleeves rolled up
